About Me

In my world, silences are as important as conversations. I am that person who loves monsoon. I wait eagerly all year long for rain. But when it is raining, I miss sunshine. And when the sun blazes down, I yearn for rain again. That is me, a believer of the contradictions that mark life. I love to see how life runs around in circles and clashes with itself. When it does, there is chaos and I use that pain to write poetry:) And then wait eagerly for my joys to reappear.

My world is full of music, books, art and people. I dance to come alive, find peace, de-stress and mostly to experience pure freedom of the soul.  I (try to) meditate often, do yoga and go on long walks. My creativity finds its outlet in the work I do as a writer, the poems and stories I write, my DIY craft and painting endeavors, or dishes I whip up in the kitchen. Oh, but all my meals have to end with a piece of dark chocolate. The days there is no chocolate in my fridge, I mope.

And when its time for me to move beyond myself, I travel. Like a young woman waiting for her first lover to appear, experience and discover her; each city, lane, monument or mountain, has its own evolving story. And it is those stories that I travel for. Travel writing and photography is my way of bringing those stories to the attention of others.

If you want to know more about the words, people and thoughts that are part of my life, just read this blog. I hope reading the blog is as much fun for you, as writing it is for me!

I came across your blog as I am looking for a writer and could not stop reading, your words pierces through my heart and I think I have found the one who can relay my proposed book the way that I feel it.

You say you drive your family up the wall but that is the positive attribute of a good writer as you are in a unique world that only you can understand.

  7. Thanks Ria for connecting with what I say. I have written to you.

  8. If that comment to Monideepa referred to me, I would like to say that I have never doubted that your poems can be considered poems.

  9. That comment was meant to be self-deprecating! And of course, I meant you. Who else do I know, who knows good literature and poetry from drivel? psst. I know you liked some of the stuff I have written. And your honest feedback has helped me on more than one occasion!

  10. Oh I am not offended! Your poems are techinally poems! At least you have the courage to air them!

  16. Serenity Stupidity

    Hello.
Please do not treat this as spam.

I am bhargav , from Hyderabad.
Ur blog seems interesting, I will read whenever I can. I am largely confined to bed recovering from spinal disc issue.

I reached your blog via ur comment, on Uma Sudhir’s(NDTV) blog, for the post “Emergency” on rajitha.

Inspired by Uma’s commitment, I had created a blog. Here, I place invitation to it,
    along with Introductory text.

    –Start of Introduction.

Please visit the “blog” I created http://adoptrajitha.wordpress.com/

    If you do not wish to visit this blog, or cannot adopt or help, Please pass the url to friends;

For, Rajitha, is not just another orphan among thousands; its about the one who is perhaps the most vulnerable,
among the 1 billion Indians. After some recent medical attention, one may argue that she is not the most vulnerable,
but it is for you to decide…please read about her.

This Blog is about the Hope, even if Utopian, that one day it is opened by a person/couple/family,
who are able to come forward and include Rajitha into their family. So, each time you mention the
blog to someone else, you are lighting another candle, as part of searching parenthood / foster family, for Rajitha.

Hence, even without fresh posts/comments, this blog hopes to bring a ray of Hope for Rajitha,
even if as little as a Candle.

Its not about Moving mountains. Its like, clearing one pebble..
It is not necessary, to think consistently about Rajitha….but you can consider once, passing this on.

    —End of Introduction.
